Be proactive, instead of reactive

Another day, another way. If I want to change and prosper, I must be willing to be act proactively and to stick with my journey.

  1. Today, I will finish my EPC essays by 2PM.
  2. I will finish my research paper by the end of the day.
  3. I will call CAPS and schedule an appointment. My mental health matters and it affects everything I do.
  4. I will still find time to go for a walk with my dog.

Things I am proud of:

  1. I am proud that I was able to bring attention to my dog, who might be having a problem with his teeth, to my family who hates the idea of vets.
  2. I am proud that I have submitted my work, and I only have 4 more essays to go before the quarter is over.
  3. I am proud of myself for talking with a Dean.

Things I am grateful for:

  1. I am grateful that I live in such a supportive environment.
  2. I am grateful that I am standing up for myself more often.
  3. I am grateful that I can recognize toxicity and remove myself from those situations.
  4. I am grateful that I am working on making my life easier for myself.
  5. I am grateful that I have amazing friends.

Today, I want to finish my EPC essays with time to spare. My plan is to have a break between these essays and my research paper, which is due tomorrow alongside another paper. I know I have the capabilities to do this, if I adhere to the rational part of my mind, which tells me to space out work reasonably. I am putting this out into the universe to reinforce my belief in myself. My journey towards self-discipline is an ongoing and continuous endeavor, and one I am wholly committed to.
